KARACHI: New developments emerged in the murder case of Raza as the deceased’s family allegedly received a threatening phone call after their son’s killing.
Talking to the media, Mir Hussain Ali, Raza’s father, said: “I received a life-threatening call from an international number.”
“The caller said they would kill our entire family,” he added.
“My family’s life is also in danger. We are under immense pressure. We have no enmity with anyone. My son was murdered as part of a carefully planned conspiracy,” the father alleged, adding that there were signs of severe torture on the body.
He also alleged that an attempt was being made to derail the investigation. He said investigators should determine who had called his son and asked him to come out.
“My son carried a pistol for his own protection. Investigators should determine who he feared,” the father said.
He further demanded that an investigation be conducted into who deleted the data from Raza’s phone.
“We are not satisfied with the police investigation. We demand the arrest of my son’s killers. We appeal to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister to ensure justice,” he said.
