QUETTA: Balochistan Adviser for Women Development Dr Rubaba Khan Buledi on Wednesday said that empowering women economically is not only a social responsibility but also an economic necessity, stressing that sustainable development cannot be achieved without ensuring financial inclusion of women.
She said the provincial government is implementing various initiatives to strengthen women’s financial independence and create greater economic opportunities for them.
“If we want to build a developed province and country, we must economically empower over 50 percent of our population so that women can play their full role in national and provincial development,” she said.
She noted that women in Balochistan are preserving traditional handicrafts while incorporating modern techniques and innovation, creating a unique blend of culture and creativity. She said the provincial government was working to promote locally made products.
