NAROWAL: As many as 11 people, including women, were injured when a high-speed bus crashed into a tree and overturned.
A Rescue spokesperson said that the bus lost control near the Dalhousie Stop on Narowal-Shakargarh Road. He said that rescue teams immediately reached the spot and pulled the injured passengers out of the bus with the help of locals.
Bus passenger Farhan Ali said that the accident occurred due to the driver falling asleep and speeding.
He said that bus passengers Mahmood Ahmed, Khalid Hussain, Sharafat Hussain, Shamoon, Nasir Ahmed and Muhammad Shakeel, were among the injured. He said the rescue medical team provided them with first aid and shifted them to a hospital.
According to the rescue spokesperson, there was no loss of life in the accident.
