LAHORE: The national selection committee on Saturday named Pakistan women squads for the ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka, starting in Hambantota from July 23.

Pakistan in Sri Lanka will play a three-match ODI series followed by a three-game T20 rubber.

Fatima Sana continues to lead Pakistan in ODIs. However, due to her engagement in The Hundred event in England, she will not be available for the national T20 duty. In her absence, Muneeba Ali has been named captain for the T20 series in Sri Lanka.

As many as eight changes have been made to the T20 side that represented Pakistan in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Eman Naseer, Humna Bilal, Maham Anees, Momina Riasat, Najiha Alvi, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Umm-e-Hani and Waheeda Akhtar have been named in the squad. Of these Eman, Maham and Momina are yet to make their T20 debuts and could earn their maiden international caps during the series.

For the three ODIs – which are also part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29, Maham and Saira Jabeen are the uncapped players. The three ODIs will be played on July 23, 25 and 28.

The Pakistan squad will arrive in Sri Lanka on July 20. The T20s will be held on July 31, Aug 2 and 4.
