Qatar has condemned the attack on two UAE oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, calling it a “serious violation of the safety of international navigation, a direct threat to global energy supplies, and a clear breach of international law”.

In a statement, the foreign ministry stressed that the continuation of such attacks marked a “dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability”. It called on Iran to fully comply with international law and take measures to prevent such attacks from recurring.
