TOBA TEK SINGH: A 15-year-old seminary student was allegedly killed by his two class fellows on Monday night in Faisalabad’s D-Type Colony.
According to the Batala Colony Police, Muhammad Shoaib often stood first in the examinations of Madressah Muhammadia Rizvia, while the teachers allegedly snubbed another student Muhammad Irfan, who became disappointed over continuous failures. Over this, police claimed that he decided to kill Shoaib.
He allegedly strangled Shoaib when he was asleep in a room of the madrassa with the help of another student Muhammad Rehan.
The duo allegedly bundled the body in a sack, took it to a nearby drain on a bicycle and dumped the body there.
Police claimed to have tracked the accused through CCTV cameras. Both the accused were arrested and recovered the body of the deceased from the drain on their indication.
ARREST: A Faisalabad FIA team along with Fesco’s technical personnel conducted a raid on a private workshop in Chak 225 RB Malkhanwala on Tuesday and arrested its owner and two employees for unauthorised repair of Fesco transformers.
An FIA official claimed that during the raid, workshop owner Abid Rafiq of Chishtian and his two technicians Kashif and Asif were caught red-handed while opening and extracting copper wires from transformers.
The team claimed to have recovered 10 transformers of different capacities, copper wire worth millions of rupees, transformer oil, gas cylinders, welding plants, grinders and other machinery used in the ‘illegal’ workshop.
The official further claimed that during initial investigations, the accused workshop owner revealed that at least 20 line superintendents of different Fesco subdivisions were involved in illegally transporting damaged or modified transformers to the workshop and copper was extracted.
A case had been registered against the accused persons while investigations were underway to arrest others involved in the racket. ACCIDENT: Two young motorcycle riders died after their speeding bike collided with a divider on the Jaranwala Road near Defense View Town in Faisalabad.
Biker Tasawar Saeed (18) died instantly while Muhammad Arsalan (19) succumbed to his injuries at the Allied Hospital. Both were on their way to their hometown Jaranwala from Faisalabad.
Meanwhile, a speeding tractor-trolley hit a motorcycle rickshaw near Pul-Dangaro on Sargodha Road in Faisalabad on Monday night.
According to Rescue 1122, a woman died and six persons riding the rickshaw were seriously wounded in the incident. The deceased woman was identified as Samrin Bibi (30) while the six injured, including five women, were shifted to the Allied Hospital. They included Adnan Bashir (20), Samia Younis (40), Malkani Bibi (60), Rida Ali (24) Shamim Bibi (40) and Nasreen Shahbaz (30).
In another accident, two buses carrying workers collided on the Khurrianwala-Jaranwala Road in Faisalabad on Tuesday.
Reports said that a bus was stopped at a police checkpost when another bus coming from behind hit it due to brake failure.
Four workers including Zahid (21), Bilal (23), Rizwan (22) and Muhammad Imran (40) were critically injured in the accident.
A Rescue team provided medical assistance and the injured were shifted to the Khurrianwala RHC.
