LAHORE: Punjab Cabinet Committee on Law and Order chairman Khwaja Salman Rafique on Sunday visited the home department’s central control room and reviewed the live monitoring of processions and majalis across the province.
Home secretary Ahmad Javed Qazi briefed the committee chairman about the security situation in the province. Mr Rafique also spoke to officials serving at control rooms in different districts and sought security reports.
Over 37,000 majalis and 9,000 processions are being monitored in the province.
At Digital Media Cell, the committee chairman was briefed about cyber patrolling and the quick response system.
Home department’s officials were also present during the briefings.
