KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) on Saturday claimed to have arrested a suspected terrorist belonging to the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) for his alleged involvement in several acts of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Acting on a tip-off, the paramilitary force carried out a raid in Shah Latif Town and arrested Javed Ali Khan, a resident of Swat.

Officials said he was associated with Fitna al-Khawarij (FAK), a term used by the government to describe the banned TTP.

They said that on June 7, he, along with other FAK accomplices, carried out rocket attack in Swat, resulting in killing of three innocent citizens.

“Later, he came to Karachi and was organizing his network to carry out terror acts,” the officials said. He was wanted by KP police in several cases.
