TOBA TEK SINGH: Two brothers were electrocuted on Friday night in Chak 145 RB of Chhutian Da Chak in Chak Jhumra tehsil.

According to initial information, they were going on a motorcycle to irrigate crops when they found a fallen electric pole on the way. As soon as they tried to lift the pole to clear their way, their hands touched live electric wires and they received an electric shock and died.

The deceased were identified as Muhammad Qaiser (27) and Muhammad Qasim (25).

KIDNAP: A woman has been feared kidnapped from Nawan Lahore. Complainant Muhammad Aslam of Bhakkar claimed in his FIR that his wife had gone to see her relatives in Gojra.

He added that after she reached Nawan Lahore, she apprised him on phone about her arrival but she did not reach her relative’s house and her phone was also turned off. He feared that unidentified persons had abducted his wife Anisa Bibi along with their two-year-old daughter.

Police were investigating.

ACCIDENT: Three persons of a family died and one other was injured after a speeding bus hit their motorcycle near Addhiwala Adda located on the Kabirwala Road in Khanewal on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Zafar Iqbal (50), his wife Hooran Bibi (40), daughter Aiman (3), while the injured was his sister Shamshad Mai (35). She was shifted to the Khanewal DHQ Hospital.

MURDERER CAUGHT: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a man wanted for murder after the passage of two decades in Faisalabad.

In a statement, CPO Tanweer Hussain Tanio claimed that accused Javed had illicit relations with accused Kishwar Rani, the wife of deceased Shahid and resident of Noorpur locality. He said that they overpowered and had strangled Shahid to death on June 23,2005, after which accused Javed fled.

He said that Kishwar Rani had claimed that her husband was killed by three persons, who were sent by his second wife Khadija. However, during the investigation when the Sargodha Road Police took Kishwar Rani into custody, she confessed that she and Javed were the killers of Shahid.

Later, he said that Kishwar Rani died and accused Javed disappeared from the area.

He claimed that police found the whereabouts of accused Javed and arrested him.
