TOBA TEK SINGH: The Faisalabad Tandlianwala Police recovered a minor girl who was kidnapped some two and a half months ago and arrested two alleged kidnappers on Thursday.
CPO Tanweer Hussain Tanio informed reporters that on March 2 at midnight, more than two dozen people stormed into the house of their relative Altaf in Chak 425 GB over an old enmity.
He said they shot at and injured four people and kidnapped Altaf’s niece Sanobar Bibi (14).
He said a case was registered against 25 persons and he recently formed a special police team to trace and recover the abducted girl and to arrest theaccused persons.
He claimed that police safely recovered the girl and arrested two of the main accused, identified as Abdul Razzaq and Farman, while raids were underway to arrest the remaining 16 nominated and their seven unidentified accomplices.
He said that both the arrested suspects would be produced before an anti-terrorism court to seek their physical remand for further investigations.
ACCIDENT: A woman died while four others were critically injured when their rickshaw was hit by a speeding bus on the Kamalia-Chichawatni Road on Thursday.
According to Rescue 1122, a bus travelling to Faisalabad rear-ended amotorcycle rickshawnear the Bagoana Stop while trying to overtake a tractor-trolley. A 20-year-old woman, Kausar Bibi, died on the spot, while Faizal Bibi, Kishwar Bibi, LalanBibi and Muhammad Kashif were seriouslyinjured. Rescue personnel administered first aid to the injured and shifted them to the Kamalia THQ Hospital.
Meanwhile, a bus hit a motorcycle killing one bike rider while another was critically injured in Jaranwala near the Sheruana Bridge on Canal Road.
Rana Mudassar Ali (37) succumbed to his injuries instantly while Sikandar Hayat (40) was shifted to the Jaranwala THQ Hospital.

The Mian Channu Saddar Police claimed that a police party was on patrol when it was confronted by three suspects riding a motorcycle, who were signalled to stop.
Police claimed that they opened fire on the policemen, which was also returned in self-defense. When the firing stopped, police claimed to have found one suspect injured by the firing of his accomplices.
The injured suspect was arrested and shifted to the Mian Channu THQ Hospital. He was identified as Muhammad Nadeem, a resident of Daad Fatiana in Sahiwal, and was wanted in several robberies.
