LAHORE: The Punjab government has allocated Rs50.39bn and Rs2.96bn under the head of non-development and development, respectively, for the judiciary in the provincial budget 2026-27.

The non-development budget has been allocated for salaries and allowances of Lahore High Court and district judges and officials, office utilities (electricity, rent), maintenance of existing buildings, and fuel for vehicles.

The development budget includes different uplift projects like construction of new buildings, judicial complexes, residences and rest houses for judicial officers in different cities of the province.
