Man, couple booked for ‘rape’ of house help

BAHAWALPUR: Head Rajkan police in Yazman tehsil booked an alleged drug peddler, along with his two accomplices, including a woman, for raping a widow repeatedly and recording her objectionable videos at Chak No 115/ DNB.

According to police sources, in her FIR No 249/26, registered under sections 376 and 292 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), the complainant, F, a widow, alleged that one Fayyaz and his wife Bushra got her employed as a house help in their relatives’ house.

She stated that at her employers’ house, a suspect, Z, raped her repeatedly, promising to marry her, and left her pregnant.

She also alleged that Fayyaz would shoot her inappropriate videos.

Meanwhile , Zohaib, was arrested in a drug case and was sent to jail.

Meanwhile, she said that Fayyaz and Bushra kept assuring her falsely that Zohaib would marry her after his release from jail.

The police have registered the case without making any arrest so far.

COPS ATTACKED: Burewala Model Town A Division police in Vehari district booked on Sunday the four undertrials for allegedly assaulting three police guards on Burewala courts premises on Saturday.

According to police sources, four undertrials--Mudassar Abbas, Nadeem, Usman and Aqib Hameed, involved in dug and illicit arms cases, were being taken back to jail after a court hearing when they were given some daily-use items and food by their relatives, who had come to the courts to meet the suspects.

As this is against the rules, a police guard, Tayyab, objected to the provision of food and other articles to the undertrials, who exchanged words with him.

During exchange of words, the four handcuffed undertials attacked Tayyab and two other police guards, who were left injured.

On receipt of information about the attack on police guards, Burewala DSP Rana Imran Tipu, along with a police contingent, reached the courts and controlled the situation.

On his directions, the injured policemen were sent to hospital, while a fresh cases was registered against the suspects, who were already in jail.
