KARACHI, July 8: A man beat his neighbour to death in Korangi on Saturday for allegedly having developed illicit relations with his wife.

The Ibrahim Hyderi police said Khadim Hussain, resident of Bhitai Colony, when returned home saw his neighbour Naseer Ahmed, 32, and his (Khadim's) wife Shehnaz in a compromising position. Khadim lost his tempter and in a fit of rage attacked Naseer violently with a hard and blunt object. Naseer got serious injuries and fell unconscious.

Neighbours gathered at the spot and took the victim to a hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. Police arrested Khadim Hussain and registered a murder case against him.

BODY FOUND: The body of an unidentified 40-year-old man was found along the storm-water drain in a shantytown in Pak Colony on Saturday.

Police shifted the body to the Civil Hospital, where medico-legal experts told the police that the death was caused by hard and blunt weapon. Area police were of the view that some unidentified men might have kidnapped the victim, killed him at some other place and threw the body along the drain.
