Passport counter at Gujrat chamber

GUJRAT: The Federal government has approved the opening of a passport counter at Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a three-member staff has been appointed for the service delivery to the local business fraternity.

Chamber President Ahmed Hassan Mattu had apprised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to grant the approval for such a desk at the chamber during latter’s meeting with the presidents of at least 12 chambers of commerce from across the country in Islamabad on Monday the last.

Mr Mattu said the PM had immediately approved his proposal and issued directions to the authorities concerned in the federal government to launch the passport services forthwith.

The chamber president said that the establishment of the counter will not only save valuable time and resources for business persons but will also contribute towards creating a more business-friendly environment in the region.
