Truck runs over, kills two bikers

KARACHI: Two teenage boys were run over and killed by a fast-moving truck near Hawkesbay on Sunday evening, according to police and rescue services officials.

A traffic police official said that a truck (TAD-765) hit a motorcycle near Sakhi Weighbridge within the remit of the Mauripur police station and ran over the biker and his pillion passenger.

He said that both teenagers suffered serious injuries and were taken to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi where they died during treatment.

The driver, Imran Allah Jorio, responsible for the fatal accident was arrested and the heavy vehicle impounded by the police.
