Three killed in separate accidents in Attock

TAXILA: Three persons were killed while five others were injured in separate accidents in Attock during Eid holidays, police and Rescue 1122 sources said.

In the first accident, a rickshaw driver was shot dead by a man travelling with him as a passenger on GT Road in the limits of Hassanabdal police station. Police said Rasool Shah, 55, was driving passengers in his three-wheeler from Hassanabdal Lari adda. When reached near the Cement Company Chowk, a masked man took out a pistol and shot him multiple times, killing him on the spot. The attacker escaped from the scene on foot.

Separately, a man was gunned by two persons riding a motorcycle in the limits of Attock city police station. Rashid Iqbal was present at a car stand when the armed men shot him dead and escaped. A pickup driver was also killed when a trailer knocked his vehicle on CPEC route in the limits of Fatehjang police station. The pickup driver was identified as Muhammad Ramzan.

Meanwhile, five people were injured when two rival groups attacked each other in Dhoke Habib in the limits of Jand police station. The victims with bullet injuries were shifted to the tehsil headquarters hospital, Pindigheb.
