Dengue cases on the rise in Pasni

GWADAR: An alarming increase in dengue virus cases has been reported in Pasni city, where nine new cases were confirmed over the last 24 hours, raising concern among the people and health authorities.

Dengue tests of patients were confirmed positive by laboratory officials of Pak-Oman Hospital.

Most of the affected patients belong to Ward No 5 and Ward No 3 of Pasni city, where an increasing number of people were found suffering from fever, body aches and other dengue-related symptoms.

People of the area have demanded the government to immediately launch a fumigation and anti-dengue spray campaign in the city and its adjoining areas to prevent further spread of the virus.
