RAWALPINDI: In view of the expected large influx of tourists during the Eidul Azha holidays, the district administration of Murree has imposed Section 144 across the district and banned all types of gatherings except families on The Mall.

According to an order issued by the administration, the ban will be in place from May 20 to May 31, 2026. According to the district administration, the aim of the measure was to maintain law and order, ensure traffic flow and prevent any untoward situation. The administration has also appealed to the citizens and tourists for cooperation.

It may be noted that Murree Road from Satra Meel to Sunny Bank in Murree has been closed for traffic for the reconstruction work worth Rs3 billion and all the traffic has been diverted to Murree Expressway, creating rush on the alternative road.
