QUETTA: The Government Boys Postgraduate Degree College, Sariab, held its first-ever convocation ever since its establishment some 84 years ago.

While addressing the convocation ceremony, Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail called it a historic milestone.

The governor said that over the past eight decades, thousands of students have passed through the college and later served their communities, province, and country. He described the college as one of the oldest educational institutions in the entire province, calling it a pride of the past, an identity of the present, and a guide toward a brighter future.

He vowed that the government would restore the degree college to the path of academic and technical development.

He said all issues faced by the degree college, particularly the shortage of teaching staff, must be resolved immediately. He said the government is committed to equipping the historic institution with modern facilities. He added that the vision is to align the college with current educational and industrial standards and introduce skill-based training.
