He said stolen property worth more than Rs397.1 million was recovered from the accused persons arrested by the police during the given period.

The recovered items included 61 tolas of gold, two cars, 767 motorcycles, 2,362 mobile phones, 27 laptops and 26 other vehicles, which were handed over to their rightful owners after completion of legal formalities.

The report was shared in a meeting chaired by Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana.

Lauding the efforts of the police, he said that continuous operations against criminal gangs are underway and all available resources are being utilised to eradicate crime and make the city safe for the citizens to move even late night free of fear.

Mr Kamyana said the arrest of criminal elements was the result of effective teamwork and professional strategy of Lahore Police.
