TAXILA: Authorities in Hassanabdal on Monday sealed a health facility after a woman died due to alleged administration of a wrong injection.

According to initial reports, the woman, who was suffering from blood pressure complications, was brought to a hospital on Hazara Road. Sources said the hospital staff administered a blood pressure tablet along with an injection, after which the patient’s condition reportedly deteriorated rapidly.

The woman was immediately shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Hassanabdal but she could not survive.

After the incident was highlighted on social media, Assistant Commissioner Ahsan Ali and officials of the health department conducted a raid on the hospital and allegedly recovered expired medicines and injections.
