ISLAMABAD: In response to the arrest warrants issued by the court of senior special magistrate, Multi-Professional Cooperative Housing Society has stated that the CDA’s recovery notice has already been suspended by Islamabad High Court.

On May 4, Court of Senior Special Magistrate Sardar Mohammad Asif issued arrest warrants of operators of 16 housing societies for CDA’s pending payment of Rs1.8 billion, directing the station house officers concerned to arrest nominated operators and present them before his court on May 14.

Amongst them, the warrant of operators of the said society was also issued. The CDA had stated that Rs45 millions was pending against the society as extension charges.

In response to the news report published in this newspaper on May 9, captioned “Court issues arrest warrants for operators of 16 housing societies over CDA dues”, the management of abovementioned society stated: “It has been alleged that Multi Gardens-I is a defaulter of extension charges, whereas notice of the CDA for recovery of charges has already been suspended by the Islamabad High Court, dated 20-02-2026 and 04-03-2026, respectively.”
