Marvel Studios is moving forward with its X-Men reboot, bringing in Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo to work on the script alongside Michael Lesslie. The film will focus on both ideology and character-driven drama, staying true to the emotional depth of the comics.

Schreier cited Chris Claremont’s iconic 1975–1991 run as a major influence, known for shaping characters like Storm, Wolverine and Jean Grey and storylines such as The Dark Phoenix Saga. The film is expected to begin filming later this year, with casting news likely soon and a potential release targeted for 2028.
