RAWALPINDI: Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto has paid tributes to the dedication of workers on May Day … and has emphasised that the country expects of them still greater efficiency, constant and sustained hard work, stepped up production, and … a supreme awareness of their individual and collective responsibility to make the nation strong and prosperous. In a message to the nation on May Day, the [PM] has said that the workers of Pakistan whether they till the land or work in factories or offices, share great responsibilities... . ... [He] also referred to the laws enacted and the reforms introduced by the people’s Government ensuring for workers a fair deal... .

[Meanwhile, as reported by news agencies from Islamabad,] the World Bank Consortium members have announced that they are expected to commit dollars 700 million aid to Pakistan for fiscal year 1976-77, a report received here … said. It said that the Consortium appreciated the policies now being pursued by Pakistan Government.
