Ex-SP, nephew held for triple murder

TOBA TEK SINGH: A retired superintendent of police (SP) have been arrested by Lundianwala police in Faisalabad for killing three persons.

They were identified as former SP Chaudhry Farooq Hundal and his nephew Muhammad Usman.

Initial reports said the suspects exchanged arguments with the deceased’s group over entry of the animals of a group into crops of other at Chak 651-GB. Over the issue, Farooq Hundal and Usman opened fire on the other group.

As a result, Nasir Ali Chadhar, his son Imtiaz Nasir and his brother Jaffar Hussain, who were harvesting wheat, were seriously wounded.

Two of them, Nasir and his son Imtiaz, died on the spot while Jaffar was shifted to Jaranwala THQ Hospital where he too succumbed to his injuries.
