ISLAMABAD: The capital administration on Saturday night allowed the entry of all public and goods transport into Islamabad.
The administration said all bus stands had also been opened across the city except Faizabad. The bus terminal at Faizabad will remain closed until further notice, it said.
Market closing times
Meanwhile, the capital administration issued another notification about the closing times of shops, markets and malls, partially amending its second order issued on April 16.
An amendment was made to the timings of sports facilities and clubs, including gymnasiums. Earlier, the closing time of these facilities was 8pm, which now has been extended to 10pm.
The notification issued from the office of Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon said a partial modification had been made to the notification issued earlier in the light of ongoing austerity measures.
“It is notified that all shops, markets and shopping malls shall be closed at 08:00pm throughout the week (including Saturday and Sunday). However, sectors like pharmacies, medical stores, medical supply stores, medical laboratories and hospitals are exempted from the restriction.”
Besides, petrol pumps, CNG stations, milk/dairy shops are too exempted from the restriction.
“All hotels, restaurants and food outlets, tandoors, grocery stores, kiryana stores, meat shops, fruit including dry fruit shops vegetable vendors and bakeries shall be closed at 10:00pm (there shall be no restriction on takeaway and home delivery services).”
All marriage halls, marquees and other commercial places where festive events are held shall be closed at 10pm throughout the week. This closing time shall also be applied in the case of events held at private premises.
The order has come into effect on April 25 and will remain in force till further orders, it added.
