ISLAMABAD: Pakistan in an impressive performance outclassed hosts Nepal 3-0 in the ITF Asia U-12 Team Competition South Asia.
According to an announcement made by the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) on Wednesday, the Pakistan boys team, placed in Group ‘B’ alongside Nepal and the Maldives, delivered a commanding performance to secure their second consecutive win in the tournament.
In the singles matches, Mohammad Aayan led the charge with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Karki Savya Jung before Mohammad Ibraheem Hussain Gill outclassed Malla Aarit 6-2, 6-1 to make it 2-0.
Then the pair of of Ibraheem and Mohammad Faizan routed Karki Savya Jung and Basnyet Sahansh 6-2, 6-1 in their doubles match to complete a clean sweep.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s girls are competing in Group ‘A’, which also includes the Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka and India.
