ISLAMABAD: Nomad Gallery opened a vibrant crafts bazaar on Tuesday. Irish ambassador Mary O’Neil, was the chief guest.

“I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere appreciation to Aziz Boolani and his dedicated team for their unwavering commitment and professionalism, which have been instrumental in nurturing and sustaining our long-standing collaboration over the years,” said Director Nomad Nageen Hyat.

She pointed out that the two jointly aimed to highlight and empower women, honour the indigenous art and artisans of Pakistan and communities through skills and creativity in Arts and Crafts- working closely with and representing exquisite crafts, textiles and artifacts from across Pakistan - handcrafted textiles, shawls, gifts, natural foods, ceramics, home-ware, jewelry, apparel, inspiring artworks and more. It all represented the regions of Sindh, KP, Punjab, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, ideal for gifts or personal collection.

In this festival, organisers highlighted the tradition of the Saami tribe of Sindh, represented by artisan Hoora Khatoon, who joined us via SRSO – Nomad’s MOU Partner in the province. “We proudly present the works of artists and artisans represented across the country, from community to women entrepreneurs.”
