Blast partially damages police post in Bannu’s Domel area

BANNU: A vacant police post located in the Adhami Pul area of Domel was partially damaged in a bomb explosion here on Monday night.

According to police sources, the post was situated at a picnic spot and had been vacant for the past year. As a result, no policeman was present at the time of the incident.

Meanwhile, terrorists also released a video of the blast at the police post.

Residents stated that terrorists frequently set up checkpoints on the main road, creating an atmosphere of fear and insecurity among the public.

Meanwhile, a policeman was injured when terrorists opened fire on a police post at an IDP camp here on Monday.

According to the police, the injured official, Fareedullah, was performing duty at the camp in the Bakakhel area when unidentified terrorists opened fire on him, leaving him seriously wounded.

Police confirmed the incident, adding that the injured official was immediately shifted to the Combined Military Hospital in Bannu.

Following the incident, police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the attackers.
