LAKKI MARWAT: A bomb blast partially damaged the boundary wall of an under-construction police post in Haved area of Bannu district on Saturday night, the police said.

They said an explosive device planted along the boundary wall of the Mamakhel police post went off with a bang, panicking the residents of the locality.

The blast damaged a portion of the boundary wall, they maintained.

They said a case had been registered against unknown miscreants.

Meanwhile, three people, including a woman, were killed in firing and road accidents in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts on Sunday. Two motorcyclists were killed when a passenger coach hit them in Serai Naurang town of Lakki.

The deceased were identified as Muzamil, 12, and Bilal, 16, residents of Mithu Ghaznikhel area. They were cousins.

In Bannu, two unidentified armed men killed a woman inside her house in Zargar Mamakhel area on Saturday night.

The police identified the deceased as Sareeda, 45. The body was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for postmortem.
