LAKKI MARWAT: A woman was killed by her husband in the Michenkhel locality of Lakki Marwat city, police said the other day.

Police said that Qudratullah hit his wife Nabeela Gul with bricks and a hammer over some unknown dispute. As a result, she received severe head injuries and died during treatment.

Fahad Waqas, brother of the deceased woman, told police that he was at home in Hafizabad area when he was informed about the incident.

He said he reached his sister’s house, where he found her lying unconscious.

The complainant told police that he shifted his injured sister to the Government City Hospital from where she was referred to a hospital in Bannu in a critical condition but she could not survive.

Police said that the body was brought back to the Government City Hospital to complete medico legal formalities.

Police have registered a case against the suspect and initiated an investigation under the relevant sections of law.
