The German foreign ministry has condemned an attack on a UN base in southern Lebanon a day prior, which seriously wounded three Ghanaian UN peacekeepers, Al Jazeera reports.
“Targeting UN peacekeepers is unacceptable. We clearly condemn the strike on a Unifil base in southern Lebanon that has left several Ghanaian peacekeepers wounded. We urge all actors to ensure the safety and security of UN peacekeepers at all times,” a statement published on X says.
