KARACHI: Local sales of cement rose 8.35 per cent year-on-year to 3.467 million tonnes while exports surged by 37.72pc to 732,333 tonnes in February.
Total cement despatches (local sales and exports) increased by 12.53pc to 4.199m tonnes in February from 3.732m tonnes in the same month last year.
According to the data released by All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA), domestic despatches rose 12pc to 28.503m tonnes during 8MFY26 against 25.465m tonnes in the same period last fiscal. Export shipments increased 6.27pc to 6.295m tonnes from 5.924m tonnes a year ago.
During 8MFY26, total cement despatches (domestic and exports) were up 11pc to 34.798m tonnes from 31.388m tonnes a year ago.
