Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein, over the phone and discussed the rapidly evolving regional situation.
According to a statement released by state broadcaster PTV, the leaders stressed the need for “sustained efforts to contain tensions, promote de‑escalation, and advance peace and stability in the region”.
They also agreed to stay in close contact.
