LAHORE: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq says Pakistan is moving from economic challenges toward stability and strengthening its international relations and reaffirmed that Pakistan seeks peace and cooperation but will respond decisively to any aggression as its national security is non-negotiable.

Announcing large-scale development projects worth billions of rupees in his constituency (NA-120) here on Sunday, he underscored that the state and citizens stood united against terrorism and that firm action against elements spreading instability would continue.

He also reiterated Pakistan’s call on Afghanistan to ensure that its territory was not used for terror activities against Pakistan.

On political matters, the NA Speaker said that reports regarding the medical examination of Imran Khan were unfounded, adding that all arrangements were conducted in accordance with legal procedures.

He said the message of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was conveyed in this regard while the availability of a doctor was facilitated in consultation with Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Asad Qaiser.
