There are things we live with every day and never question. Air is one of them, until something makes you look twice. While reading a lot about air quality and watching the news, I decided to look for it on the internet and there I found the site called IQAir — the site that tells about air pollution and all the stuff related to it.

Next, I was totally shocked when I read the facts and figures. Something that didn’t seem important to me before suddenly became my main concern.

The homepage hits you with a big, interactive, colourful map with numbers everywhere showing the air quality in different cities around the world; you can zoom in and out and click on a country and its cities to see more details.

I didn’t know what some of the numbers meant at first, like AQI and PM2.5, but if you are like me, hover the mouse cursor over it and there you’ll get a little explanation. The menu is at the top and it’s not too complicated. There are links for “Air Quality Map,” “Products,” “Air Quality Info,” and “Blog.”

The products section shows air purifiers and monitors with pictures, prices and even some reviews from people, though some of it feels like a bit of a marketing tactic. But I guess that’s normal for a site that also sells stuff.

The info section contains articles and also guides on why air pollution matters, tips for cleaner air, etc. You can also read the news related to pollution and air quality from around the world in the panel given on the right side.

So if you care about the air you breathe or just want to check your city or are curious to know about the cities around the world, the site is perfect for you.
