QUETTA: Leaders of various political parties, under the banner of the All Parties Alliance, on Tuesday strongly criticised the Balochistan government for what they described as its “failure to address deepening political, economic and security crises in the province”, warning that public frustration had reached a “dangerous level”.

Addressing a joint press conference after a day-long multiparty conference (MPC), the leaders threw their weight behind provincial government employees who have been staging protests for their demands, including the grant of the disparity reduction allowance.

ANP Balochistan President Asghar Khan Achakzai said the Balochistan Grand Alliance, an umbrella body of government employees’ organisations, had repeatedly approached the provincial government to raise its concerns, but had received no positive response.
