ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) has taken notice of the inconvenience faced by consumers due to scheduled shutdowns and power outages under the Annual System Maintenance Programme and directed all formations to complete the maintenance work at the earliest.

According to an Iesco spokesperson, the Annual System Maintenance Programme on 11kV feeders, 132kV grid stations and transmission lines is currently under way.

“All teams are working with dedication and commitment, and maintenance work on most of the 11kV feeders in the Islamabad Circle and adjoining areas, including Islamabad sectors, Bhara Kahu, Murree, Nathia Gali and other tourist destinations, has been completed,” he said.

The Iesco Chief Executive Officer Engineer Ch Khalid Mahmood expressed hope that by the end of December, shutdowns of 11kV feeders in the Islamabad Circle and surrounding areas would be completed, while shutdowns related to construction work would continue as per the approved schedule.

The Iesco Operations and Maintenance Directorate has uploaded the revised schedule on the company’s official website, the spokesperson said, adding that consumers can obtain the required information from there. Moreover, the 118 helpline remains available round the clock.
