Burton’s Batman returns in new sequel novel

Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman is getting another sequel in the form of Batman: Revolution, a new novel by John Jackson Miller. Published by Penguin Random House, it’s the second entry in Miller’s continuation of Burton’s iconic universe.

Miller’s first book, Batman: Resurrection (2024), offered an alternate take on Burton’s universe, set between Batman and Batman Returns, featuring villains like Clayface, Hugo Strange and the Riddler.

The original 1989 film, starring Michael Keaton, Kim Basinger and Jack Nicholson, became a major hit and inspired years of sequels and spin-offs .

Hot Wheels: Ultimate Speed is now on consoles and PC

Mattel and GameMill Entertainment have released Hot Wheels Let’s Race: Ultimate Speed, based on the Netflix animated series. Available on Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, the arcade racer features 12 tracks, boss battles and car customisation.

The game is available in three editions: the Standard, the Digital Deluxe with extra cars and track parts, and a Limited Edition for Nintendo Switch that includes a GT-Scorcher die-cast car. A separate DLC pack, High Voltage Speed, is also available. Featuring local four-player multiplayer and full car customisation, Ultimate Speed brings the fast-paced fun of Hot Wheels Let’s Race to gaming consoles and PCs worldwide.

KPop Demon Hunters merchandise is coming

Netflix has partnered with Mattel and Hasbro for KPop Demon Hunters merchandise, following the film’s record-breaking success.

It became Netflix’s most-watched film, with its soundtrack topping Billboard 200 and the single “Golden” set a record as the longest-running No. 1 hit by a girl group this century.

Mattel will launch a global line of dolls, action figures and collectibles in 2026. Hasbro will release a KPop Demon Hunters range that includes plush toys, electronics and a themed MONOPOLY Deal game. Both lines roll out globally from spring to the 2026 holidays.
