The Multan deputy commissioner’s office has said that rehabilitation work is continuing in the Jalalpur Pirwala area after intense flooding.

“Steps are being taken to protect the motorway from further flood damage and heavy machinery has been deployed at the site,” a statement read.

“Work is underway to repair a gas pipeline along the damaged section of the motorway,” it added, quoting Multan DC Waseem Hamid Sindu. “The restoration of the damaged sections will start once floodwater recedes.”
