Rescue teams have shifted around 19,428 people to safety in Punjab’s Muzaffargarh along the river Chenab.

Rescue 1122 Muzaffargarh’s media coordinator, Mansoor Ahmad, said in a statement, “rescue operation continues in the adjacent low-lying areas of Chenab.”

“These areas include Bet Kandrala, Midwala, Sitpur, Sarki, Khangarh Doma, Lati Marhi, Azmatpur, Malan Vilai, Kandai, Juna Bangla, Rangpur, Muradabad, Khadkan, Banda Ishaq, and Hamze Wali,” he added.
