The Karachi commissioner has briefed Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah on the preparations for the expected heavy rains in the city, the province’s information department says.
It asserted that all “administrative and local authorities were mobilised”, adding that the assistant commissioner was on the ground to monitor the drainage operations himself.
“All deputy commissioners, assistant commissioners, KMC, DMCs and town staff were busy in drainage work as soon as the rain halted.”
