According to the latest information from the Flood Forecasting Division (FFD), Ganda Singh Wala, along the Sutlej, will continue to be in an “exceptionally high flood” over the week.

Panjand along the Chenab is expected to experience a “very high flood” starting tomorrow, while the Indus River at Guddu Barrage is expected to reach a “high to very high” flood level between 6 and 7 September.

FFD also forecasted that monsoon rains are likely to lessen within the next 24 hours.
