LAHORE: Multan police on Saturday arrested a biker allegedly involved in harassing a 10th grade girl student in a street in Haram Gate area.

A video circulating on social media showed that a girl, clad in white school uniform and carrying a bag, was going alone when a speeding biker approached her. The suspect harassed her and the girl raised a hue and cry and the rider fled the scene. The people on social media criticised the incident and demanded that the police arrest the suspect.

The Haram Gate police have registered a case and started investigation.

The police identified the suspect as Waqas and also arrested him.

Multan Regional Police Officer (RPO) retired Capt Sohail Chaudhry condemned the incident and said that a case was registered against the suspect. He said the suspect was identified after using video footage and conducting its forensic.
