RAWALPINDI: Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the construction of Ratta Road.

The project will be overseen by NESPAK, while the implementation will be carried out by Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation.

The project is expected to be completed in one and a half months, including the rehabilitation of the drain.

Residents and local traders welcomed the development work in the area, as it was a long-standing demand of the community.

Speaking on the occasion, the railways minister said that serving the people is the government’s duty, and we will work to improve roads and streets.

He reaffirmed his commitment to development initiatives and stated that the journey of progress is only possible with the cooperation of the public.

“Uplift projects are a continuation of public service. PML-N believe in practical service, not verbal promises,” he said.
