RAWALPINDI: Three members of a family were injured critically after being trapped in a fire that erupted in their house after a gas leak explosion in Mohalla Chaudhry Hakamdad Waris Khan.

After the fire was brought under control, the injured — Mohammad Iqbal, 70, Irum, 40, and Umar, 8 — were shifted to Holy Family Hospital by Rescue 1122.

In another incident, a vehicle of Suthra Punjab caught fire and was damaged in the limits of Waris Khan police on Murree Road. However, nobody was reported injured.

Rescue 1122 brought the fire under control. The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
