Cyndi Lauper, 71, described her upcoming Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour as a “celebration” during her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Inspired by the 1910–1930s Paris living art movement, Lauper said the tour blends music and art in a way she’s always dreamt of: “If I do a farewell tour, I’m going to do what I always wanted.”

The tour kicks off in July, with fans encouraged to dress up — or not. “We sell wigs,” Lauper joked.

She’ll also be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this November in Los Angeles.
