KARACHI: Main draw matches were held across multiple categories in the 21st KC Westbury National Tennis Championship here at the Karachi Club on Saturday.

In Under-18 first round action, Ahtisham Humiyon crushed Javed Khan 6-1, 6-0, while Inam Gul got the better of Ahsan Ali 6-1, 6-4. Zohaib Afzal overwhelmed Zayd Ali 6-0, 6-1 and Muzammil Bhand defeated Faiz Ilyas.

Dhuraf Das also advanced when Yahya Haleem retired while Mohammad Junaid downed Zain Nomi. Haziq Areejo defeated Ansarullah and Taimoor Ansari beat Laraib Shamsi. Ruhab Faisal edged out Junaid Meher and Ismail Aftab defeated Aisam Malik.

In boys Under-14, Ansarullah, Umer Zaman and Rashid Ali Bachani recorded flawless wins. Rashid and Umer also recorded victories in the U-12 category first-match matches.

Men’s singles first round play featured Ahtisham defeating M. Essa Jee 8-0 and Laraib Shamsi beating Shahmeer Usman 8-2.

In Under-10 second round, Shahreem Umer routed M. Usman Zahid 4-0, 4-0.
