KARACHI: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has announced the results of the annual examinations of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC), 10th grade, General Group (regular and private) students for the year 2025.

According to the results, Sana Muhammad Idrees of Al-Badr Girls Higher Secondary School secured the first position with 89.27 per cent marks, Bushra Muhammad Imran of Mama Indigo School System was second with 87.73pc marks, while Haniya Muhammad Yousuf of Mama Indigo School System got third position with 87.36pc marks.

Some 10,222 candidates appeared in the General Group (regular) examinations, including 2,804 male students and 7,418 female students. Among the successful candidates, 108 obtained the ‘A1’ grade, 971 got ‘A’ grade, 2,157 ‘B’ grade, 2,471 ‘C’, 863 ‘D’ and 29 got ‘E’ grade.

In the General Group (private), some 4,573 candidates sat for the exams, including 2,935 male and 1,638 female candidates. Among the successful candidates, 13 obtained the ‘A1’ grade, 294 got ‘A’ grade, 1,020 got ‘B’, 1,181 got ‘C’, 445 got ‘D’ and 18 got the ‘E’ grade.

The overall success rate in all general regular and private exams was 65.76pc.

In addition, 124 special students with hearing and speech disabilities participated in the exams.

Around 114 students succeeded and the success rate was 91.94pc.

Syed Saif Ali Shah secured the first position with 89.64pc marks, Hamida Hassan Ansari got second position with 88.45pc marks and Ziaur Rehman was third with 86.18pc.

All three position holders hail from the Absa School for the Deaf.
