Harry Potter series casts new faces
HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series has added new cast members, including Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley and Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge.
Newcomer Lox Pratt will play Draco Malfoy, with Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy. Bel Powley and Daniel Rigby join as Petunia and Vernon Dursley. They’ll appear alongside previously announced leads: Dominic McLaughlin (Harry), Arabella Stanton (Hermione) and Alastair Stout (Ron).
The show is billed as a faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s books, following the original films released between 2001 and 2011.
Tyla’s new song for the Smurfs movie
Tyla has released “Everything Goes with Blue” for the upcoming Smurfs movie, hitting theatres July 18. The lyric video features the Smurfs dancing to her upbeat track.
The film’s soundtrack also includes “Friend of Mine” by Rihanna, who voices Smurfette.
The star-studded voice cast includes John Goodman, Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, Daniel Levy, Octavia Spencer, Sandra Oh and more.
Barbie Mysteries: Beach Detectives premieres in August
Mattel, Inc. has announced that Barbie Mysteries: Beach Detectives, the second season of the Barbie Mysteries animated series, will premiere globally on Netflix in August. The season includes eight 25-minute episodes filled with exciting new adventures and intriguing mysteries.
In the new season, Barbie “Malibu” Roberts and Barbie “Brooklyn” Roberts attend the Malibu Beach Bash festival, where they work the food stands alongside friends. When illusionist William Warlock debuts his act, the fun takes a mysterious turn as a series of thefts disrupt the event. With their friends beginning to vanish, the two Barbies must once again become sleuths to unravel a maybe-magical mystery and uncover the truth.
The season also features five new original songs, and a new line of toys inspired by the series, including the Ultimate Beach Buggy™ Vehicle and Barbie® Mysteries: Beach Detectives dolls, playsets and accessories.
